WELLINGTON AND MANAWATU RAILWAY.
The Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company have now definitely settled
the terms of their contraot with the Government. The contraot is being, engrossed, and will be signed this week The Company hare also received a Urge quantity of Native land abutting on the Hoe. v No difficulty ie likely to arise in Tpgard to raising the necessary funds, arid it la to commence the work immediately, The Company have ifUnauished all claims to lands on the outside of the Tararua Ranges.
