MASTERTON INSTITUTE.
The Gommittc of the abovo met yesterday afternoon. Present •—Messrs J. C, Boddington (in tho Chair), W. W., McCatdle, A. E. S. Carr, C. Holdaway, andW.Sellar, The minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary reported that since the last meeting the rules have- been printed and posted in all the rooms of the Institute, and tlint copies were in the hands of the Custodian for distribution. The following accounts were passed for payment :-D. Crewe, 7s; T. Cox, Is Gd; Caselberg & Co., lis; lamps, 12 9s 6d; T. E. Price, i'l lis. : The rccoimiiemliitious iu tlio " suggestion book" were then considered, and the Secretary was requested to report as to the cost of a clock for the reading- .- room as suggested by a Hiea'uer, J The Committee unanimously voted an increase to the custodian's salary, the members expressing their entire satisfaction at the manner in which Mrs Bennett had carried out her duties, aud their , appreciation of her attuntive.and obliging x conduct to members ot the institution,' : Mr Boddington was appointed visiting member for the ensuing mouth. The meeting thon adjourned.
