A meeting of Mr Burton Boys supporters wis held at the Oddfellow's Hall, Konthorston on Monday evening, and Mr W. Gundy was voted to the Chair. Tho candidate gave a most exhaustive speech ol two hours duration, touching upon almost ovory subjcot of intorcat, especially the Small Kami one. Ho also advocated the opening of tho Wairarapa Lake, ami that the land reclaimed ho sold on deferred payments. Tho meeting was vory orderly, and the candidate was listened to w|Hi groat attention throughout by tho audienco, who seemed to bo gr'eatlv pleased with his views on the subject of tho day, A unanimous vote of thanks was recorded the candidate, and the meotin<* closed. Mr 11. Jackson proposed, and Dr IJanratly socondod tho vote of thanks.'
