INQUEST

An inquest was held at the Foresters' Amis Hotel, Greytown, yesterday afternoon,' before the" Coroner, Dr H. T, Spratt. and a jury, of whom Mr P. H. Wood was chosen foreman, touching the death of John Johnsen, who was found dead in Morrisons Bush, (as reported in our issue yesterday.)' From the evidence given l , the'deceased ltift.Mr Mitchell's employ-where he had been working-' as a station hand for the past 9 months'—about a fortnight agn, .'having then a cheque for £24 16a. It appears he went to Wellington and stayed there's week, returning to Greytown on Wednesday last., tie was seen asleep at half-past 1 ? o'clock, on Thursday morning on a by-road at 'south Greytown, and also at half-past 5 the same evening at the same place. He was seen in an Hotel nili Friday morning, and at about noon left .the township, goincr towards' Mr Kempton's'residence,, which -place he passed: abour2 o'clock..
