WHO IS TO BLAME?
[To tlip Editor of the Wairaraba DA|Ly,]
Sik—Our Sunday Schoolroom h a 9 been let to the local oommitteo of the Carterton School durino the alterations of the latter, and a gate has been erected facing Richmond Road, for easy access, As we have been to some expense, and much time has been spent in beautifying the grounds surrounding the church, by planting ornamental trees and sjjrubs, you would naturally think that responsible parties would see that the recently-erected gate was kept closed. I am soiVy to say it is not so, and mure than once I have seen the gate open, and our trees at the mercy of any' stray fyorap or'cow. This is not as it should lie, and 1 hope (,lib/ negligence has only to'be called' attention Colo be remedied, Yours, &c, ' Churchman.
