The mulberry-tree originated in Persia; the gourd is probably an eastern plant; the cotton-tree is a native of India; tha walnutand peach came from Persia; the horse-chestnut is a native of Thibet; the cuoumber came from the East Indies; the garden creaa is from Egypt and thp East; and horseradish came from the south' of Europe, The Now Zealand flax shows its origin by its name; the coriander grows wild near the Mediterranean ; the djor's weed is peculiar to southern Germany; the Jerusalem artichoke is a Brazilian product; hemp is a native of Persia and the East Indies; and the parsnip is supposed to be of Egyptian origin,
