MR McCARDLE'S RESIGNATION.
(To the Editor Wairarapa Daily.) Sir,—Having heard that there is a a requisition signed by some one hundred and twenty of the Masterton public calling on the Town Lands Trustees to resign, I think it my duty in compliance therewith to place my resignation in the hands of Mr R, Brown, Secretary to the Town Luanda Trust, without makjng any conditions whatever. Having best) returned as a Trustee .by the publio vote, I recognize their right to call upon me to resign. In doing so it may perhaps bs expected that I should make some explanation re the difference batween Mr Renall, myself, and other Trustees, I fool it impossible to do so by letter, but will, at an early date, invite the publio to meet me in the Town Hall, when I hope to place matters in a very different light from that in which they aro generally understood. Thanking the Masterton publio for the honor they did me in electing me as one of their Trustees, I now resign that office into their hands for their disposal. ' Yours, fa;, , W. W. McCabdie.,
