MASTERTON TOWN LANDS.
To the Editor of the Wamakapa Daily.
Maaterton, Oct. Sir,—l confess I must agree with ffly remarks of your correspondent "Old Settler," who appears to have a knowledge of your town reserves, and his suggestions in respect of some acres taken illegally by dishonest persons, with a view to keep forcible possession, appear to me to be rather rich and deserving of immediate action on the part of the Trustees, whose duty it is to look after this property. The Trustees in 1876 appear to have neglected their duty in respect to a town acre; but it is to be hoped that the town is not to be deprived of some valuable property, and allowed to remain in the possession of frauds, because our present Trustees are too lazy or incompetent to look after the interests of the people.—l am, &c., Ratepayer,
