Cameron requesting assis- V tance in clearing slips off the Makirikiri \ road, ir From Mr Thos. Mackay re clearing slips , r off a portion of the Uriti line. From Mr Duffy re delay in repairing c ] the Mataikuna Pakowai line, and fencing across the pack track, g From Mr Wishaw requesting that a cutting be made into the river near his house. From Mr Paneti re laying off roads, From the Colonial Secretary's office re returns, Langdon Bros., stating that they would allow a road to be laid off through their land to sections at the back upon conpensation being paid, s From Mr Thompson requesting permis,s sion to erect a fence on a portion of the r ferry reserve, at Akitio Ferry. 3 It was resolved that Mr Thomson's ap- •- plication be granted. y That a line of road be laid off from ,t Ohonga Ferry to Akitio Ferry. !. That £5 be expended on clearing slips off Uriti road, Mr Whishaw and Mr i- Mackay paying two pounds each towards e the work. 11 That £3O be expended in clearing slips 1 in No. 7 Ward. s That £9 be expended in clearing slips in y No. 3 Ward. That £lO be expended in clearing slips f off the Makirikiri line. y That £49 be granted to complete re- ■ li pairs on Mataikuna-Pakowai line, a That the permission of the Native Mi- ' nister be obtained to lay off a road through 1 a portion of the Native Reserve, Whakar laki f That the Clerk take the necessary steps j to enforce payment of rates due. That funds are not available at present 1 to erect a bridge over Sandy Creek. 1 That the returns be filled in and forward - cd to the Colonial Secretary's office. , That Mr Dully be informed that the . repairs to the Mataikuna road are being t executed without delay. And that the Board had agreed with Mr Cox that a ; portion of the packtraek should be closed. That the Clerk write to the Chairman 3 of the Masterton Board in regard to a , misunderstanding respecting a grant of » £IOO towards a deviation in the Upper - Taueru mad.
