Mr Bunny for plaintiff, Mr Beard for defendant. Adjourned to Cth October. At an adjourned meeting of the Licensing Court for the Featherston district, before H. S. Wardell, Esq., R.M., S. Revans, and 0. Phara&yn, Esqs., Licensing Commissioners, the application of George Lancaster to transfer the license of the Royal Hotel, Featherston, to H. G. Williams, was granted, there being no opposition, GREYTOWN, TUESDAY, [BEFORE 11, H. WARDELL, ESQ., R.M., AND S, REVANS, ESQ,, J.F,] T. Bvaggins v W. R. Hastwell.—Breach of Local Board By-Laws. Fined 20s and costs. Constable Willougliby v J. Gunther,— Breach of Licensing Act by selling a bottle of beer without a licence. Fined £5 and costs. Same v J. Baigent.—Selling a bottle of beer without a license. Dismissed. There were twenty civil cases on the list, many of which were paid in or settled out of court.
