MASTERTON CEMETERY TRUST.
A mkeiiko of the Cemetery Trustees was held in the Institute, on the 26th August. Present;— Messrs Bunny (in the chair), Feist, Perry, and Hare. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The Secretary submitted a rough copy of rules and regulations for the management of the Cemetery. It was resolved that Messrs Bunny and Hare be appointed a Committee to consider the same, and report at next meeting.
It was resolved that the name of Mr Payiou be submitted to His Excellency the Governor, to fill the vacancy caused in the Trust by the death of Mr Bannister, It was resolved that owing to the difficulty experienced in collecting fees, in future no head-stone, fence, cross, vault, of other erection, shall be permitted before the Cemetery fees are paid to the Custodian,
Damage having been done to the young trees and shrubs, it was resolved that hones, hearses, or any.other kind of vehicle be prohibited from entering the Cemetery. •
