The new Electoral roll has just been published, and bears marks of somewhat hasty compilation. The dual vote to Maoris is extended in it to both races, in some instances, a treble register being effected. One distinguished native, for instance, is put down first as Whakamairu Ihaia, second as Ihaia Whakamairu, and third as Whakamairu Ihaia. This individual may be deemed fairly registered. Mr Robert Wyeth, of Masterton, also has the felicity of appearing in three places op the roll. Dead men too, should they rise again on the polling day, will be qualified by law to vote in large numbers. There are 1829 names on the roll, but we question whether more than 1500 electors will be left, after duplicates, triplicates, and dead men are eliminated,
