MASTERTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Tho annual meeting of tho Masterton Horticultural Society was held at tho Council Chambors last ovoning. There was a fair attendance of mombera, and Mr Everett was voted to the chair; , Tho chairman expressed his regret that through committoo meetings being held in tho evening, ho had boon: able to attend so few of them during flio past yoar. This, however, was from ino want of interest in tho society, and wore meetings fi.r tho future held in the aftoVnoon, he would bo happy to attend hem. Tho Secretary then read the report and balance-sheet for tho past year, which wo hold over for our noxt issue, and which were adopted on tho motion of Mr Parsons. The question of alteration of rules was then discussed at length, and the following innovations were agreed to. Members subscription' io be 10s per annum, with right of free oxhibits. A subscription of 20s per annum to make a subscriber an honorary member of the committee. j;
