A CONTRADICTION.
To (he Editor of (he Wairabapa Daily. Carterton, April 21,1879. Sift,-While looking ovor your locals in Wednesday's issue, I was rather startled by the following" The Good Templar Ball in Carterton on Monday was an equal success as the sports held during the day." I have no doubt in ■my own mind that your correspondent thought the ball held was in connection with the Good Templars. I beg to state that it had no connection with tho sports, and was entirely distinct from the Good Templar sports; it being contrary to the rule 9of our' Order. My object in sending you this is because should our Grand Lodge seo no contradiction to this report, we should be liable'to lose our charter. Hoping you wilLpublish this,—l am, &c., W.
