ST. LUKES CHURCH, GREYTOWN.

A meeting was held on Monday last of the Parishioners of the abovo Church to receive a deputation from the Diocesan Synod in connection with the proposal for the establishment of a general Church Fund to meet the growing demand there is far more provision for tho spiritual wants of the Church.

In the absence of the Rev Mr Knell Mr St. George was voted to the Chair, and called upon the Rev Mr Coffeo (the delegate) to explain the reason for the proposal to raiso the general fund, Mr Coffey made a very full and lucid explanation, and went into all the particulars of the proposal, as embodied in the circulars which have been distributed throughout the diocese. After somo little discussion the following resolution was passed on the motion of Mr Dudding, seconded by Dr E Spratfc:—" That this meeting hereby expresses its approval of the scheme for the establishment of a general Church Fund for the Diocese, and rcquestr tho vestry of St. Luke's to forthwith institute a systematic canvas for subscriptiods throughout the parocial district.
