Bowling.

A committee meeting of the Waimate Bowling Club was held on Tuesday evening, there being present —Messrs W. L. Scott (president), W. Coltman, 0. Akhurst, F. Akhurst, H. Wilson and J. P. Smith (secretary.) One extra week is to be allowed members drawn to play in the first round of Mrs A, Scott’s trophy, on account of the election and the wet weather. _ ■ Mr Scott was appointed the club s delegate to the meeting in Oamaru to-morrow, when the dates for the district banner competitions will be arranged. Messrs J. Borrie, S. Clarke, H. Bailey, A. Wilson, H. Dockrill and H. Bowse were elected new members, bringing the membership to 58. Mr R. E. Boyd’s resignation was accepted with regret.
