The Gazette of October 30th contains direction for the triennial election by local bodies of their reprecentatives on the Hospital andi Charitable Aid Boards. The date for the election is November 26th (the date of the meetings of the County Councils for the election of chairmen). o A mild-looking old gentleman vvas one day sitting in a restaurant when two young men came in. They were bored with living, and beckoned condescendingly to a waiter. “ Waiter,’' said one, “ bring me a chop and mention my name to the cook.” “ me a steak,” said the other, “ and tell the cook who it’s for.” Waiter was half-way across the room when the mild-looking gentleman hailed him and drawled “ Bring me a dozen oysters and mention my name to every bloomip g oyster.”
