At the Cattle Show—Kelly : “ Wore lyez at the cattle show at all, Johnnie?” j Jonnnie : “ Oi wus in fur a half an hour [or so.” Kelly: “Oi suppose yez saw IJamie Rogan’s big bull?” Johnnie: “ Indade, and Jamie an’ the bull wore both there whin Oi was in, and a foine baste he is.”

The wedding swell was going well, A splendid sight to see ; Out nmg a voice, clear as a bell: “ Thig wedding cannot be !” The organ stopped, the bride had diopped Back fainting 'raid the palms ; So when in rage the bridegroom hopped The speaker felt some qualms. “ 1 only said you should not wed ” He spoke with covert laugh—- “ Until three minutes 6hall have sped, When I start the biograph !”

Here is a suffragan story, for the veracity of which a correspondent oi the Westminister Gazette vouches. The scene was a diocesan tea party, at which, the bishop as well as his suffragan being present, the chaplain of a local lunatic asylum approached the latter, .asking him if he could preach at the asylum, on a special occasion. After due demur the suffragan kindly consented, whereupon the chaplain, with exquisite tact, observed ; “ Oh, thank you, thank you, my lord ; you know my poor people will think you are the “real bishop.” The “ suffering ” one, the correspondent adds, being a wise man, coughed, but said nothing.
