Sheep were on a par with last sale prices. The poorer classes were over supplied, and prices were easier. New' Zealand sheep ranged in price from 21s 9d to 3-5* 3d. Cattle, owing to the large quantity of frozen meat which had been placed on the market, had a restricted demand, and values were lower all round. New Zealand bullocks sold at £l4 10s to £23 ss. HORSE SALE, The Canterbury Farmers’ Co operative Association, Limited (per Messrs Mundell i and Jones, auctioneers), report holding a I special sale of horses at the Studholmo I Junction yards on Thursday, when an | entry of 45 draught and light harness j horses came forward, nut of which more than half the entry changed ownership at | full market rates, although the tone of the market may bo considered slightly easier for farm horses. The following prices were realised —For young draughts with trials, £3l, £32, £34, £35, three at £3l to £4O, medium to good £lB, £22 10s, £24, £25 to £2B; light harness horses £l2, £l4 to £22 10s. On account n{ Mr J. O’Donoghue we submitted the coaching station High Guard, by Emerson, out of a Betrayer mare, and passed him at a bid of 65 guineas.
