There -was o,nly moderate , attendance atJ;htsPrimitive Methodist Church fbh Thursday evening,. when the service of song “ Ttfue as Steel ” was rendered by the church choir, assisted by friends from the Wesleyan andj Presbyterian churches. Rev. J. j Carlyle presided, and the entertainment was commenced by Mr F. Bennington, who sang the solo “ The Mighty Deep,” accompanied by Mrs Bennington. Mr E. Bannerman gave the connective readings, Mr A. James was organist, ahd Messrs Chus. and Edgar Wilson (violin) unci Mr A, Baker (cornet) greatly assisted in making the musical part of the service the success it undoubtedly was.
