The Tenth Contingent.
There was a very fair crowd present at the station yesterday to see the return of Waimats members of the Trusty Tenth.” All the men look well. Those who returned were Sergeant E. Porter, Corporal George Wilson, and Troopers K. D. Smith, P. Flynn, G. Niool, S. Laird, E. Hoare, J. Sullivan and W. Green. Trooper G. Joyce came aboard the Montn se when she sailed from Auckland suffering from a severe cold. On reaching Christchurch he consulted a doctor, and il was found that he was suffering from scarlet fever. He with three others was quarantined at Bottle Lake.
