Licensing Committee.

Tho quarterly meeting of the Licensing Committee was held on Tuesday <«t 12 noon, Major Keddell, S.M., presiding, and there being also present Messrs Geo. Milne, A. Carter, Bradshaw, and McGregor. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed.

A transfer was granted from F. W. Glasson, Tekapo Hotel, to Chas. Tait, Lake Tekapo Hotel, as was also a transfer from John O’Neill to Patrick McNeill, Bridge Hotel, Knrow. Permission was granted to J. Shields and others to bold a dance in the Tekapo Hotel on September 18th.

A similar application for the Omarama Hotel bad not received the sanction of the landlord, and was held over pending same being obtained.

A conditional license was granted to Chas. Tait, Tekapo Hotel, for the Tekapo races.
