The Tenth Contingent.
New Plymouth, September 2. The returned Taranaki members of the Tenth Contingent arrived to-night and were accorded a hearty reception. There was a large attendance of the public, and the men were formally welcomed by the Mayor. The Garrison Band was present, and the proceedings were enthusiastic. Nelson, September 2. Trooper Fowler, of the Ninth Contingent, died to-day of pneumonia. W kllinoion, September 2. The South Island troopers by the Montrose will be sent on tonight by the Upolu. The Waimate troopers will arrive to-day.
