At the County Council yesterday the chairman said there had been more applications for prisoned grain than they could supply. It had been suggested that the grain did not receive sufficient attention, and was therefore not so efficient. He thought they should put on an extra man for a time.

Mr Walker said he always advocated this.

Mr Hardie said they must have poisoned grain. The chairman's suggestion was adopted, and an extra man will be put on.
