New Zealand Sheep.
RESULT OF WAIMATE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION'S COMPETITION.
At the meeting of the Wclimate A. and P. Association on Saturday tho Christchurch Meat Company forwarded result of the competition for their special prize for best pen of ten wethers suitable for freezing, any cross, freezing weight not to exceed 6libs, sheep to be sent Home frozen and sold on their merits on -miithfield market, the second half of the prize being awarded to the pen which nets the highest price after adding the skins and fat. The sheep were shown at the last show, the first half of the prize being awarded to the pen exhibited by Messrs McGoverin and Hai'dic. It will bo seen from the results which we print bolow that entry No. 58, exhibited by executors of the late A. Hayes wins the second half of the prize.
