The Electorates.

Wellington, July 1

The Representation Commissioner recommend the following as the boundaries of electorates :

Geraldine—Geraldine comprises the existing Geraldine electoral district minus the Albary riding of the Mackenzie County and plus that portion of the Point riding of the Levels County within the boundaries of the existing Timaru electoral district. The borough of Temuka and Geraldine town district are in this district. Timaru.—The Timaru district comprises the existing Timaru electoral district less the portion of the Point riding of the Levels County included therein which has been added to the Geraldine district.

Waitaki. —The Waitaki district comprises the existing Waitaki electoral district and Albury riding of the Mackenzie County, less all country lying south of the Waitaki river and west of the Ohan and Hopkins rivers. The borough of Waimate is in this district. The new electoral districts recommended by the Representation Commission are : —Kaipara (north-west of Auckland), Waingahu (Wanganui district), and Newtown (Wellington) in the North Island, and Courtenay (Canterbury) and Mount Ida (Otago) in the South Island.
