Mostly About People.

Messrs A. Philip and A. Colville returned on Thursday from a trip to the North Island, embracing Wellington, Eltham, Dannevirke and Stratford. They were every where struck by the number of Waimateites who were met en route and also by the evidences of prosperity throughout the Island, grazing land out from small townships bringing as much as £3O per acre. They attended the Communication of the New Zealand Grand Lodge of Freemasons and the installation of the Grand Master. Both are looking better of their trip and'will resume. the cares lor business with renewed vigour.
