[contributed.]
The extent to which enthusiastic, persons will sacrifice themselves and their friends to gratify and verify pet fads, was illustrated recently, when a well-known local station holder essayed to test the question of whether an ordinary four-wheeled buggy is not equally adapted to the purposes of marine navigation. A lurch to starboard instantaneously dislodged the passengers and crew, who floundered around, considerably strangled, and started shorewards spouting like whalesi, Upon due jt pyast agreed oh all sides that the old morals still hold good. That you can’t pretty much most always tell how things are going ta.turn out sometimes!; add Wa|i most iccidents can be avoided by presente of mind or absence of body. A snapshot of the incident would have been wtirth many shekels.
