Fire.

On Tuesday morning about 7 o'clock, a fire started in a shed belonging to Mr Jehn Perriraan and leased by Mr Gecrge Brown of; Waituna. The shed was near a deserted "house at the junction of the Hook and Waituna roads, and was used for storing oats. There were no appliances at hand, and the shed with all its contents was burnt to the ground. The oats whioh were valued at Ll 5 were uninsured, and the shed which was valued at L4O was insured for L 25. There is no clue to the origin of tha fire but as it was often used as a camping ground, a match dropped by a swagger is suspected.
