Sir,—l see that Lord Methuen is in the toils- (That last is a phrase I see u«ed by you newwspapers about De Wet.) Thinking that the question of exchange will'be coming on, I would suggest giving the Transvaal Boers some British Boers—Campbell-Bannerman or Redmond. If they are dissatisfied we can chuck in brother Stead and a dozen more of that ilk, and bo glad to be rid of them. I am, etc., Mugwump.
