Wirth Bros.' Circus.

HIPPODROME AND MENAGERIE

Onetff the best shows known the wide world over is Wirth Bros’, enormous circus, hippodrome and menagerie of performing wild animals. They have but recently concluded enormously successful seasons in Australia and ase now playing to crowded houses in Adelaide. The entertainment is one that never grows old. Asa hilarious and exciting recreation for youth and ;ige of all nations in all tiinis, it seems to he endowed wito porrennial youth. Wirth Bros, always bring something now and of the highest standard. Among the many special features may be mentioned the boxing ponies, the bucking elephant, and hear that turns somersaults on horseback, and the clhnav of animal training. The entire circus rind is enclosed with a steel cage, Mo ns Rahoul enters, then three Bengal tigers are let loose and their trainer maker them see-saw, roll barrels and Mabes, jump through hoops and play leap frog ; and finally two of the tigers are harnessed like horses to a chariot, and a third tiger drives them round and round the ring. The season in Waimate will be a short one only, Mr G- L. Peteis the business manager arrived in town on Tuesday night accompanied by his staff of advertising agents, whose business it is to thoroughly bill the town and surrounding district announcing the advent of Wirth Bros’ big show. The' entire show will arrive by their own special train at an early hour, and the huge tents will be erected in the paddock, opposite the Criterion Hotel.
