Hockey.

.A meeting of the committee of the Waimate Hockey Club was held oil Thursday evening, Mr A. Barry presiding. It was decided to have the grass on, the hookey ground cut, and the ground marked but by Thursday next, when a practice is to be held. The annual social was discussed, and it was decided to engage the Oddfe.lows’ Hall for if not already engaged. Tickets were fixed at 3a 6d, and arrangements made for getting them out early. The treasurer reported subscriptions coming in well, and that the active members of the club would be nearly 40 this (season.
