Farmers' Union.

At ti meeting of tho Tima.ni branch of the Farmers’ Union on Saturday the small bird question came up, and after some genet’ll discussion it was resolved — “ That this Kxcutiye strongly supports any legislation that will pive extended powers to local bodies to ensure systematic destruction of small birds."
