The Timaru City Rifles fired the return match with the Waimate Rifles at the local range on Thursday, and a close match resulted iu a win for Timaru by seven points, the scores being Timaru 574, Vairnate s*lß. Thma'ch was late in starting, and this combined'With raMier slow marking so delayed man-era that the 600yda range bad to he lett out. At the'finish of the 30S)yds range Waimate was leading »y fi points, but at the ik-xi range, the visitors got cm IB m<ne, thus winning by .7 points. Tue .343 Enfield rifles wore tfsed, and the shooting was good. Lance.-Corpi. Nicol’s 34 affiOGytto, and LanceOorpl Wilson’:-! 43 at BdOyUa were the best scores.
