KAPUA.

The Kapua school’s annual concert took place on Thursday evening, the fine weather, and the fact of the children providing mart of the entertainment inducing a large number of settlers to attend. The programme ppeaented was an exceedingly varied and interesting one and elicited frequent applause. Light refreshments were handed round after the concert. Among many meritorious items may be mentioned the following:— Song, M Nary Soldiord,” by the boys ; hoop drill by eight girls ; song, “ Mother kissed me in my Dream,” Mr T. Dugda'o; song, “ Convent Bells,” MiaaaaN, and M. Hay man:; “ The Pedlar,” Sydney Hurst; duet, “ The Gipsey Maid,” by Mr and Hiss ITayman; dialogne, ■“Eapu* Darkies,-” by the boyswith a short dialogue, “‘The Gossips,” by Alice Dugdale, Norris Lawler, and Emily Keugler. Mias Fyfe, (the-school teacher, trained the •children, and deserve much credit. ;:
