Induction at St. Andrews.

On Tuesday afternoon at 3.45. the Rev. H. K. Lawrie was inducted to the St Andrews charge. The Timaru Presbytery met before the induction. The church was very prettily decorated with evergreens and flcwers, and there was a good congregation. The Rev Watt presided and preached. The Rev Todd addressing the minister, and tha Rev Morrison the people. The Ltwrie was asked the prescribed questions, and inducted into the charge of the congregationthe members of the Presbytery giving him the right hand of fellowship. He was introduced to the members of the congregation at the door of the church. were provided at 6 p.m. by the ladies of the parish. i social was afterwards held in the evening. The Rev Morrison presided, and after introducing the Rev. Lawrie, vacated the chair in his favour. Speeches were male by the Rev. Gillies, Barclay, Todd and Watt, and a number of musical items acceptably tendered. The welcome given Mr Lawrie was a most hearty one.
