TIMARU PORT GUARDS v, STUDHOLME MOUNTED RIFLES. Yesterday the Timaru Port Guards came down to Waimate to fire a match with the Studholme Mounted Rifles, The day was very wet and most unsuitable for shooting, but some very fait scores were put on. Owing to the unfavourable weather only two ranges were fired. The match resulted in a win for the home team, which is very creditable to them when firing against crack shots like the Port Guards.
