Willie’s si star’s fellow’s father Is a millionaire whos i one Wish appears to bi to pamper The desires of his eoq. Willie sister’s Mlow used to Ride behind a blooded pair That could “ do a mile in .20’ 1 Without moistening a hair. WiUie used to hold those,charges While their owner was inside Asking Willie’* happy sister To get ready for a ride. And it used to seem to take her Long to make her toilet, too, . Or perhaps ’twas not htr toilet— Willie didn’t care a sou. Oft he sat there in the carriage While the hours dragged along. Holding iii mly to the nbb'ms, 1 Pouring out his soul in s <ng. And his pretty sister’s Mlow Gladdened him with many a fee. Ah, the wav that child spent money Was astonishing to me !
Nearly all he ate was candy, H ■ had friends to tarn awar ; All the b >ya were out for Willie Everywhere and every day. His opinion was their gospel. They were all on Wilde’s side ; Will'e was their saint and leader, Willie’s heart was full of pride. Gone, ala*, is Willie's prestige. And his friends, oh, where are they. One of them gave little Willie A sad beating yesterday I Little girls male* faces at him Who had only smiles before, Willie doesn’t, carry candy* In his pockets any more.
