Cricket.

The Temuka Cricket Club sent a, team to Waiiuate on Saturday morning to play against the local club in Victoria Park. The weather was not altogether favourable. Temuka won the toss and elected to take first innings, making only thirty-three runs, the bowling of Stewart and Thomas being mainly responsible. Waimate’a first innings resulted in a score of sixty-seven. In the visitors’ second innings they made ninety one. Waimate want in for a second innings and quickly made fifly-ono for two wickets. As time would not allow & finish, the match was declared on the result of the first, Waimato thus winning by thirty four runs. The visitors were entertained by the local club.
