Mr F. S. Parker and family left Waimate yesterday f ir Hawera. Dr Barclay returned home on Thursday after a short holiday in the North Island, Messrs W. H. Beckett and W. H. Hargreaves are present in Christchurch representing this pariah at the Diocesan There are four candidates from this district for the University examinations which begin on Friday. Miss Smith left yesterday for Dunedin and ‘Messrs G. Park, W. Thomas and R. Clarke leave to-day.
