The Maori Songsters.
TJhere was a very good attendance at the Oddfellows* Hall on Tuesday evening, when the Maori singers belonging to the Salvation Army gave tfieir entertainment. The company number ten, and were led by Captain Armstrong, who opened the meeting with praise and prayer. A short address by the Captain followed, in which he spoke of the reason of their journeyings, and hoped that all would enjoy the programme that was to be presented to them. A lengthy programme of concerted singing, solos, duets and dances was then gone through. The several choruses were a chief feature, the voices blending tunefully ; the solos were all well rendered, particularly those by the boy and girl of-the company ; and the duets were all well sn,ng and greatly appreciated.
