amounting to £4 10s was passed. One candidate was initiated into the Order by P.G. Bro. Shackletou. P.G.s Bro. Shackhnon and Mines were appointed a deputation to wait on the Borough Council with reference to the alterations ordered to be made to the hall.

The delegates to the District Meeting to-day, Bros. Betten and Mines, were given instructions. Arrangements were made for the entertainment of .the delegates, and it was decided to invite members of sister Lodges. The next meeting, on Monday, September 23.-d, is to be a full summoned one.

Accounts for £27 Os lOd were passed, and the meeting rose.

This afternoon, a meeting of delegates from all the Oddfellows 1 Lodges in the district will be held in the Oddfellows' Hall, commencing at'2.3o. An adjournment will be made from 6 to 7 o'clock for dinner. The business will than be resumed, and the purple dogree conferred. At 9 o'clock, the business will be concluded, and a smoke concert will be given to the visitors and the Lodge.
