Letter from a Waimate Boy.

A letter received by Mr R. Nicol, of Waimate, from hU son Robert, at present in Ontario, Canada, under date ! June 23rd, contains some interesting items. Many farmers Would not get back their seed. However, the cropi in his immediate district were good. He says that he would have liked to h»ve been, in N«w. Zealand during the return of the contingents, especially to greet his old schoolmates, and Bxprenßed the opinion that the Wm'mate socials mu-ft have been superb. He supposes New Z9idanders had a great time during the Duke's visit, bub says the Royal rarty were going to " fly " across Canada in a train specially built.
