_i —-101— — : —■ A meeting of the committee of the above was held last evening in the Fire Brigade Station, to receive the report of sub-committees. There wore present—Messrs Nicol, Qc. Akhurst, W. L. Scott, j. H. Dear! (secretary), E. J. Atwill, Q. A. Wilson. J. Howard, JV Clear, W. Taylor and M. Smith. An apologjy was received from Mr N Francis (president)-, and Mr Nicol was voted to the chair. Acknowledgment of election as patroness' was received from Mrs Haves, and patrons, Messrs Steward i id Manh. • The chairman stated that Mrs Hayes (Gentrewood) had offered prizes of 15s to each of the Wainiate schools, suggesting that it be offered for the best collection of flowers. . . . -Wilson, seconded by Mr Dean, that fopr prices of ‘6s, 4s, 3s and 2s be offered for the best collection of grasses, wild flowers and ferns, to be shown in one dish. ■ • .
