The Radicals’ pro-Boer agitation ig based on Emily Hobhouse s sensational reports with preference to the Boer refugee camps, made on behalf of the. Distress Committee. The Rev. Adrian Hofmeyer, writing to the Times, states that be visited some of the camps. Jle alleges that Hobhouse s statements display 'kh igno'rivfece of the real facts and are highly coloured. He adds that the refugees admitted to him that the officials are doing everything possible.
