Waimate Horticultural Society.
The Society desires to thank the following donors of special prizes for last show, and hopes many more will follow their good example this year : —Mr H. E. Mann, £ * 2s, for best cottage garden, and Messrs Francis and Luudon for other special prizes for cottage gardens'; Mr Luudon for children’s
pets class ; Mr Adams, for most points in jams, pickles, and cakes ; Mr Loach, for cut flowers ; Messrs Nimmo and Blair, and Yates and Co., for vegetables ; Messrs Nicol aad Scott, extra exhibits ; Mr H. E. McGowan, best decorated table and bicycle ; Mr Howard, shower bouquet ; Mr Reilly, best pair of Langshans. Mr Knowles, of Timaru, has already offered a prize of 12 roses or carnations to be allocated by the committee.
