The Federal Parliament
Melbouhne, June 11
The Treasurer, Sir George Turner, moved a tempon ry Supply Bill. He estimated the Federal expenditure for the six months to the end of June at £160,000, including £43.000, the coat of the military and naval demonstration at the opening of Parliament, the Royal reception and a third cost of Federal elections. With other deductions the total actual Commonwealth expenditure was £60,000 He was hopeful that this estimate of the annual expenditure would not be exceeded for many years.
