Waimate Safeyards Company.
The general annual meeting of tb-ah.vo was held on Saturday, fourteen members being present. 'i'h'j bibmee-sheet and report were :.o.ut, showing Lhe company to be :xl~) better oit than last year. They were adopted as read. Messrs Francis and Baxter {directors) retired through effluxion of time, and were unanimously reelected. The chairman and secretary were instructed to re-lease the yards when the present lease terminates. A vole of liiauks was to Mr (). Akhurst for auditing-the books. A. hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Baxter, who had acted as secretary and refused remuneration.
