Hockey.

The Waimate Hockey Club journeyed to Timaru yesterday to .play a match against its club. Waimate won by 4 goals, three being scored by L. Reeves and one by M. Healey, to two scored by Dane for Timaru. Mr George Wilson made an efficient referee. Although Timaru boys are new at the game they have the making of a goed team. The visitors were entertained at dinner, returning .by the evening train after a pleasant day.
