In the Oi-aio riding Mr Rhodes objr-ot-od to the valuation of his Blueeliifh property, and his case occupied I, ho Court a long time ,in taking evidence as to tha value of the property ' and its capacity. Mr Rhodes and ius witnesses wa-ra cross ox-imiuod at length by Mr O'Oallagban, Mr Hay appearing for Mr Ruod-is. The valuation was reduced from £42,633 to £39.515. ‘ Mr Tesehom ikr-.r, on behalf of Mr Amiitage, objact-od to the valuation of 202 acres at Otaio belonging to Mr Armitage. After hearing evidence the Government valuation of £7 3s 8d par acre was upheld. Mr Rolleston, solicitor on behalf of Mr Teschem-iker, objected _ to_ the' valuation of property in Olaio riding. After Mr TI-i.y bad opened the case, the Court adjourned till Tuesday, the 23tb inst.
